Big Brother 13 – Interview With Daniele

MF: Why didn’t you take the deal with Brendon & Rachel this second time around & go after Jeff & Jordan?

DANIELE: That is a good question. A good friend of mine once said… Dominic said, “everyone in this house is spineless.” It is true. Most of these people (Adam) were so enamored by these returning players that it blinded them to play their own game that they put the vets before themselves. And by vets I don’t mean me. I mean the two crazy couples.

MF: What is up with the Newbies? How can they say they love this game & then not play for themselves?

DANIELE: That is a good question. A good friend of mine once said… Dominic said, “everyone in this house is spineless.” It is true. Most of these people (Adam) were so enamored by these returning players that it blinded them to play their own game that they put the vets before themselves. And by vets I don’t mean me. I mean the two crazy couples.

MF: What’s the story on your BD Jeff plot? Do you think it was too early?

DANIELE: If it would have worked it would have been a great move. Was it too early? Yes, it was two weeks too early. Do I regret it? No. Because it would have been a great move. However, if I would have known that it could have, and in the end did cost Dominic his game, I never ever would have done it.

MF: How do you think things would have been different if your Dad had stayed?

DANIELE: That is impossible to answer. We would have been the biggest target in the house. Either we would have had to keep winning or he would have gone home and I still would have got a golden key. Either way it is impossible to answer because things change day to day in that house.

MF: I know you say no regrets, only choices. Any choices you wish you could do over?

DANIELE: I’ll be the first to admit I made a lot of bad moves in this game. There will always be would have, should have could have. Looking back of course, but in the moment probably not.

MF: How did this season compare to your first one?

DANIELE: I kind of knew what I was getting myself into (so I thought). I had an idea of how I was going to play this game, I just had no idea that nobody else was there to play. The best part about it by far was the genuine friendships that I will take from that house. I never in a million years expected that.

MF: If you had stayed & Rachel was a vote to keep you, would you have teamed up with her this time?

DANIELE: Even when I knew I was leaving I told Kalia, Porsche and Shelly that Jeff, Jordan and Adam need to go. Rachel is playing for second place and quite frankly she isn’t that great at competitions. I told them to keep her around for a while but don’t give her the pat on the back of second place.

MF: So what’s the deal with Dominic? You hooked up with Nick your first time around. Would you date him?

DANIELE: Dominic is one of the sweetest people I have ever met in my entire life. I used to tell him that he is my escape from the game. Just because I can have real conversations with him and not worry about the game. I feel truly blessed to have been able to meet him and I know that no matter what happens that I will always have a really close relationship with him.

MF: People always say you rode your Dad’s coattails during your season & that you are trying to get out of his shadow. What do you have to say to that?

DANIELE: People can say whatever they want. Just because somebody’s personality overshadows yours doesn’t mean that you are riding their coattails. This season, obviously, I made all my decision by myself and I hope that people can see this time that I know how to play this game and I played it to the best of my ability using my own brain unlike most people in that house.
